Richard Stolarski is interested in chemical composition of the atmosphere; what governs the present composition, how does it respond to change, and how did it evolve to the present state. He uses computer models of atmospheric composition to try to understand the interconnected nature of atmospheric chemical cycles. He also uses ground-based and satellite measurements to test how our models represent the actual atmosphere.
