The Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences hosts the weekly Journal Club, and Bromery Lectures, along with monthly Mineralogy Lecture Series.

The Bromery Lectures are departmental seminars held at 12 p.m. every Thursday during the fall and spring semester in Olin Hall Auditorium, unless otherwise noted. Made possible by the R.W. Bromery Fund, this series brings in distinguished scientists to deliver lectures and seminars on relevant research in the field of earth and planetary sciences. The lectures are also available on Zoom.

The Journal Club is held every Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Olin Hall Auditorium, Room 305, during the academic year. The Journal Club provides an environment for graduate students to develop and hone a professional style of delivering research talks, plus informs the faculty of each student’s research topic and progress.
