Prof. Sarah Hörst receives tenure

The Morton K. Blaustein Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences congratulates our colleague Sarah Hörst, whose promotion to Associate Professor with tenure was approved by the Board of Trustees on December 4.

Over the past six years, Sarah has played a central role in laying the groundwork for the department’s future as a center of planetary science research and education. Her groundbreaking laboratory work and incorporation of this work into models is helping us understand planetary atmospheres both inside and outside the solar system. Along the way she’s assembled an outstanding team of students and postdocs, developed numerous new courses, and served as a critical advocate and mentor for graduate students across the field.  For more on Sarah’s work see:
