Research Interests: Planetary atmospheres, Habitability, Laboratory Astrochemistry, Science Outreach
Cara's research interests center around understanding planets from their formation to atmospheric evolution with particular interest in chemical composition and photochemical processes. Her research uses laboratory setups to simulate these environments, learning about the processes occurring and connecting lab measurements to observations. Cara would love to discuss lab measurements that could aid in understanding the hidden features of exoplanets as well as our closer friends like Titan. She has a B.S. in Physics from Northeastern University and, while an undergraduate, participated in research on protoplanetary disk ices, the spectral linelist of phosphine, and particle physics.
