My research focuses on physical oceanography and numerical ocean modeling. Specifically, I study the interactions between sea ice, ice shelves, and the ocean around the coasts of Antarctica and the Arctic, using numerical modeling, in situ and remote observations, and analytical approaches.

I earned my PhD in the MIT-WHOI Joint Program in Oceanography/Applied Ocean Science and Engineering, MS at Stanford University, and BEng at Zhejiang University.
